Ski Conditions for Tuesday, December 4th

The ski conditions on Aspen Mountain were fantastic today. The two feet of fresh powder from this weekend has mostly been skied off, as lift lines on Sunday were upwards of 40 minutes. Again today the Gondola was taking passengers up and down the mountain. Lift 3 and the Gents Ridge Lift were running smoothly. The Mountain crew is doing a great job getting ready for the Women's World Cup, which is this weekend, December 7th - 9th. Hence Lift 1A and Ruthies are only open to official traffic. There are rumors of top to bottom skiing soon to come, as lots of snow and snow making have created enough of a snow base. The Sun is shining and the weather is warming up which is softening conditions on the mountain and making all those mean and cruddy push piles from the weekend ideal and shred ready!!! Stick to the groomers for great snow and wonderful conditions.

Aspen Gets 5" of Powder!

I am the Senior Marketing Manager for ResortQuest Aspen/Snowmass and I created a blog to not only keep you updated with the latest that Aspen/Snowmass has to offer, the ski/snowboard conditions, and ResortQuest, but also to talk about the year-round activities this beautiful area has to offer.

Aspen/Snowmass picked up 5 inches of snow overnight, improving conditions as the ski area opens a couple of additional runs today. Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands received 3 inches, while Buttermilk Mountain, home of the X Games and The Inn at Aspen, picked up 2 inches. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk mountain are scheduled to open on December 8th. Snow is in the forecast for today and Friday which will definitely help the conditions and allow more runs to be open, currently Snowmass has 77 acres open. Today is definitely a day that indicates all of the snow to come!
