"Big Air Fridays" returned to Fanny Hill at Snowmass on Friday, February 15.

The action starts at 2 p.m. every Friday and will "fly" through April 4. Spectators can expect to see fourty minutes, or so, of jumping. Boarders and skiers perform jumps for the judges, then judges pick four skiers and four boarders to show their stuff in a finale to determine the best of show and top of $300.00. Second place pulls in a cool $150, third place pays $75, twelve bucks short of a days' lift ticket price.

Top point awards by the end of the series picks up an extra $500.

To take part in all the lofty action, Big Air hopefulls have to have competed in a past Big Air event, or, pulled a Big Air jump at Snowmass and been seen by a member of the Snowmass ski patrol, who acts as a witness to your super-abilities in the air.

Live music on the Snowmass mall will round out the event each Friday from 3-4:30 p.m. Hang around until 7:00 p.m. ant watch fireworks over Fanny Hill light up the night sky!
