Check Out The Aspen FilmFest Running Through The W/E

Celebrating three decades of bringing international and independent film and filmmakers to this mountain region, Aspen Filmfest September 30 - October 4, will showcase award-winning features and documentaries making a name for themselves on the festival circuit, as well as previews of new fall releases and guest appearances.

While the full program will not be announced until Labor Day weekend, Aspen Filmfest announces three critically-acclaimed, multiple award winning titles: Lee Daniel's powerful an inspiring PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL ‘PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE, from Lone Scherfig's evocative British import AN EDUCATION, and Kristopher Belman's adrenaline-infused MORE THAN A GAME.

PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL ‘PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE (USA) 2009
A compelling, redemptive story of Precious Jones, a teenage girl in Harlem struggling to overcome unimaginable obstacles and discover her own voice.

MORE THAN A GAME (USA) 2009
A true-life coming of age documentary about five talented young basketball players featuring future NBA star, LeBron James and a charismatic but inexperienced coach from Akron, Ohio, who overcome the odds and uncommon adversities to end up on the doorstep of the National High School Championships.
