"We're Going Skiing," Aspen Ski Co. Says [This Weekend, June 13-15]

Drop that golf bag, adjust those bindings, put on LOTS of sunscreen, grab the boots and poles, goggles, because Aspen is GOING SKIING THIS WEEKEND!
What? That's right, according to Jeff Hanle, Aspen Ski Company spokesman. Hanle released a press statement today and Aspen Times on-line has run it.
While Hanle "could not confirm the details," he told the city's newspaper, "Yes, we are going skiing."

Updated details as of June 10 (From Skico press release): Aspen/Snowmass Premier, Silver and 6-and-under passholders are free. All other Aspen/Snowmass pass-holders pay a discounted rate; adult pass-holders pay $19, youth and senior pass-holders pay $17 and child season passholders pay $12. Adult single day tickets will be $29 per day, youth and seniors will pay $26 and children’s tickets will be $18. Tickets will be sold at the Aspen Mountain ticket kiosk on Gondola Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning Thursday, June 12. Regular summer rates will be in effect for foot passengers.

Opening the ski trails to the public coincides with Food & Wine Magazine's annual event, which is scheduled for this weekend. That's the Aspen Food & Wine Magazine Classic.
