New "Sheer Bliss" Chairlift Coming To Snowmass

Aspen Skiing Co. will replace the old Sheer Bliss chairlift at Snowmass with a high-speed detachable quad, Aspen Times reported recently. This means a welcome speedy ride up the east side of Big Burn. And who would not want to get back up Big Burn as fast as possible?

Editor's commentary: What a sad sight it was in late March to see ol' S.B. shut down, and all that beautiful snowy terrain it takes you to going to waste. But that will all be changed next season.

Aspen Ski Co. did not plan on a new lift for Sheer Bliss this coming summer, but got a very good deal from chairlift manufacturing company Poma that was too good to not take.

ResortQuest Aspen Snowmass blogspot will update as new developments emerge on this.

Sound pretty blissful, indeed.
